Obscene video in college telegram group: Mangalore University to investigate

Mangaluru, July 10: An obscene video clip was recently uploaded to the official University of Mangalore Telegram Group. The group counts among its members professors graduated from the university. The university has taken the failure seriously and plans to investigate the issue through cyber experts.

Over a thousand university college teachers in Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are members of this telegram group. This group was formed by the university itself to facilitate the sharing of information on exams and other matters.

On Wednesday afternoon, July 7, an English teacher from the Kodagu district posted an obscene video in the group. It is said that the video was subsequently deleted. Many professors have expressed their anguish at this development.

The university, which took this incident seriously, has already notified the affected professor, asking for clarification. The university wants to know if the video was uploaded accidentally or if the act was intentional. University Registrar (Examinations) Professor PL Dharma said that a report will be requested from the cyber experts and action will be initiated based on the results.
