Karnataka Police Tackle Female Entrepreneur Murder Case, Arrest 3

Bangalore, April 30 (IANS): Karnataka Police have solved the sensational murder case of a 54-year-old female entrepreneur in Bengaluru with the arrest of three people on Saturday.

Sunitha, an e-commerce industrialist, was murdered on March 31.

Varthur police, who took up the case after finding the woman’s decomposed body in a house, arrested the defendants.

Those arrested were identified as Kiran (27), a known Sunitha person, car driver Imran and carpenter Venkatesh.

Sunitha lived with her physically disabled brother in Bengaluru. His parents live in Mysuru and his brother is settled in the United States.

Kiran learned that Sunitha was rich and he befriended her in no time.

She introduced Kiran to her family, saying he was like a son to her. She wanted to move to a house that has elevator service for moving her physically handicapped cousin brother.

When Kiran learned that she was carrying Rs 15 lakh in cash with her for renting a house, he planned to kill and steal the money. He took her to a house in Kacharakanahalli on the outskirts of town.

As expected, other defendants, who were already inside the house, brutally murdered her.

After the murder, the accused traveled to Goa to have a good time, police said.

As Sunitha’s phone rang, her family members did not bother to file a complaint.

They later filed a missing person complaint with Malleshwaram Police Station.

The police were able to follow his body while the phone was on.

The matter was later investigated by Varhur police.

Police said none of the family members suspected Kiran’s involvement in the crime.
