Horror in Karnataka: Police arrested four people for sexually assaulting and murdering 8-year-old girl in Mangalore

Karnataka, November 24: In a horrific incident, an 8-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped and murdered by four people in Mangalore. The incident took place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Police arrested the four defendants on Wednesday.

According to the report published by Indian express, The victim is the daughter of a couple of workers from Jharkhand working in a tile factory in Vamanjoor. Those arrested were identified as Muneem Singh (20), Mukesh Singh (20) and Jayban (21), all from Panna in Madhya Pradesh, and Manish Tirki (33) from Ranchi in Jharkhand, all working in the same factory as the victim’s parents. Police said the victim was playing with her siblings on the factory grounds when Jayban abducted her and took her to a room. The accused then sexually assaulted the victim and strangled her to death as she began to scream in pain. The girl’s body was then dumped into the sewer by the criminals, police said.

The incident came to light when the victim’s parents and other factory workers began searching for her at 3 p.m. The two defendants, Jayaban and Manish also participated in the search to dispel suspicion as Mukesh and Muneem fled the scene. The victim’s body was then found in the pipeline near the factory in the evening. Police have been notified of the crime. Police have formed four teams to investigate the case. The autopsy report revealed that the victim was sexually assaulted and murdered by strangling her neck. The victim was suffering from excessive bleeding. Police arrested the 19 people working in the factory. During questioning, the four defendants confessed to their crime. Police registered a case under Articles 376 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and POSCO against the four accused.
