Mangaluru/Udupi, March 31: The Chief Minister’s Medal Selection List for State Police Department Police Officers for the year 2021 is released on March 30.
A total of 134 officers are awarded the coveted award. Out of the 134 police officers, six from Mangaluru and two from Udupi district are selected for this honour.
Six police officers, including two women working under the Mangaluru Police Station here, have been chosen for the prestigious Chief Minister’s Medal. Those chosen for the coveted honor are Deputy City Traffic Police Commissioner MA Nataraj, CCRB Police Deputy Inspector Vanajakshi K, City Crime Branch Police Deputy Inspector Pradeep T R. Barke, Sub-Inspector of Police Shobha, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police from Bajpe. Inspector Kushal Maniyani and Chief Constable Isaac K of Panambur Station were also chosen for the medal.
The city’s police commissioner, N Shashi Kumar, praised the sincere service of those personnel who won the medals and congratulated them on the achievement in a tweet.
The winners of Udupi are Raghavendra R Nayak, who serves as the DySP of DAR, and senior agent of the crime detective department, Vijaya Kumar.
The award ceremony will take place at 8am on April 2 at the KSRP Third Battalion at Koramangala in Bengaluru.
