Bangalore, January 12: The state government, hearing of the growing incidence of the coronavirus pandemic in the state, has authorized the opening of private Covid care centers.
Recall that during the second wave of the pandemic, several hotels were transformed into temporary hospitals. Lodges and hotels, partnering with private hospitals, had been converted into coronavirus treatment centers. With the advent of the third wave, the government allowed hotels and hospitals to open Covid care centers. It has also set the prices that can be collected from the population by an official decree.
The daily fee for budget Covid care centers has been set at Rs 4,000, while three-star care centers receive Rs 8,000 per day. For five-star centers, the daily rate has been set at Rs 10,000. These Covid centers must provide treatment to people infected with the coronavirus according to the rules framed by the health service.
The centers have been warned against admitting infected people without symptoms to the centers, charging fees in excess of the rates set by the government and continuing treatment by withholding patients even after their recovery from infection and have been warned against legal action in the event of such violations. .
