Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, March 23: Often the people we respect for their decency and honesty can turn out to be real thieves. Similarly, in a case of vehicle thefts reported in the city, a minor was found guilty.

Incidents of vehicles parked in front of homes being stolen and converted into spare parts are often heard from around town. Changing license plates and creating fake registrations to sell the vehicles were not uncommon either.

Police have now arrested a minor accused of stealing six rickshaws. The stolen auto rickshaws worth Rs 15 lac were confiscated from the possession of the boy. It is said that he used to steal three-wheelers from Kengeri, Kamakshipalya, Cottonpet, Chandra Layout, Kumbalagodu and Sheshadripuram. Kengeri Police could confiscate these vehicles and six cases of missing auto rickshaws reported in various parts of the city have been resolved through this.

Police personnel interrogate him in detail for clues about any gangs he might be involved with and if an underage gang is operating here.
