Bangalore, October 22: The direction of public education has published guidelines for the reopening of primary classes of standards 1 to 5 from October 25.

Teachers should divide students into different groups for teaching. Teachers over 50 are required to wear face shields.

Children will have lunch from November 2. Students would be advised to bring hot water from their homes. The government, private and assisted schools are to form separate student teams, and physical classes are to be held for half a day from October 25 to 30. As of November 2, full-time classes must start.

Schools must provide hot water installation in schools. With physical classes starting after an interval of 18 months, in the first week, priority should be given to bonding between them, the order says.

Classes must take place from October 25 to 30 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. On Saturday, lessons will start at 8 a.m. and end at 11:40 a.m. From November 2, class times will be from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on other days and from 8 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. on Saturdays.
