Alumni of Mangalore University meet in Dubai and pledge to strengthen alumni assn

Dubai, November 13: It was a joyous reunion as alumni of Mangalore University College (formerly Government College) gathered in large numbers at the Fortune Grand Plaza, Quasis in Dubai on Friday November 10th.

Dr Uday Kumar, the director of the college called on the students to strengthen the chapter of the alumni association in the Middle East. He said the College was preparing to celebrate its 150th anniversary (150th anniversary celebrations) in 2018. He explained the planned development projects under the leadership of prominent alumni and former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Dr M Veerappa Moily, and the Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore. University professor K Byrappa.

Some projects were highly appreciated and the elders assured their support. Dr Uday Kumar formed a committee made up of Daya Kirodian, Siraj Pajeer, Shaukath Ali, Mohammad Ali Uchil, Praveen, Ranjini Jagadish and Sadashiva Das to recruit members and strengthen the association.

Dr Rajalashmi, English teacher addressed the students and asked for support for the College’s programs.
On this occasion, the newly formed aluminas committee presented a souvenir to Dr Uday Kumar. Shaukath Ali introduced the program and Daya Kirodian proposed the vote of thanks, with special thanks to Fortune Group President Praveen Shetty for providing the venue, as well as all of the alumni who came together to make of this event a success.

Frank Fernandis and Yogesh Shetty Jeppu were also present on the occasion.
